Supervision

I offer both one-to-one and group supervision.
Supervision is a professional service rather than a managerial role.

Supervision provides a structured approach to deeper reflection on clinical practice.

Clinical supervision in the workplace was introduced as a way of using reflective practice and shared experiences as part of continuing professional development.

Clinical supervision sessions should be carefully structured and managed with clearly defined aims and objectives such as:

  • A process
  • Collaborative Relationship
  • A Commitment to Confidentiality
  • Open and Honest learning
  • Sharing Best Practice
  • Giving and Receiving Feedback

In my experience feedback is a gift that can be used constructively to help you meet your personal and career goals, thereby enhancing your practice

Effective supervision encourages self-awareness, personal development as well as continued learning and reflective practices.

The nature of the supervisory relationship is one where counsellors can gain professional support and enhance their self-knowledge
